In 2016, I joined Depack – an integrated agency, part of the FG Design Group, specialising in exhibition and retail design for global lifestyle brands – with the strategic intent to further develop its presence in Asia. The main goals were to turn the office that was set up in Hong Kong a few years previously into an independent regional office and add more big industry players to the portfolio, by strengthening the supplier network and range of services, and becoming accredited to work at airports in the region.
After having been introduced to the teams in France and further developed the strategy in collaboration with senior management, I moved to Hong Kong. I reported to the CEO and Commercial Director in Bordeaux as well as to the Founder and CFO of the Group in Paris. Overall, the senior management team encouraged creativity to flow, why I was given the possibility to exert my influence. I joined as Business Development Manager and was promoted to Director Asia Pacific in 2017. As I was able to successfully grow the business, I could recruit new team members, leading to me managing a team of six people.
